1st Hole
Description
The first hole on the course runs parallel to the practice range and opens up over the imposing Sierra Alhamilla. The two bunkers at the ball drop to the left and the out-of-bounds area along this whole side provide great incentive.
2nd Hole
Description
The fairway at this par 3 is a good example of the beauty of the course as regards land slopes, with its gentle undulations that show utmost respect for the existing land. Golfers will have to take great care with the whole left-hand side, which is out of bounds, and with the two sand traps located to the left of the green.
3rd Hole
Description
We have to aim directly at the sea at this dog-leg on the left, which is well-protected from the first drop of the ball by two bunkers to the left and a third to the right, making it necessary to take a very precise aim if we want to reach the fairway. If we make it, we still have to overcome another large sand trap to the left before reaching a green, which has two more bunkers defending its front. Take care not to overshoot the green, as there is an extensive lake right behind it.
4th Hole
Description
After passing the brook over one of the beautiful train-tie bridges on the course, we find ourselves on one of the most pliable holes. From our position at the tee, the lake to the right and the out-of-bounds area to the left provide us a most challenging panorama. New sand traps to the right and left of a winding fairway add the final touch to the hole.
5th Hole
Description
As was the case for the previous hole, the out-of-bounds on the left and the new lake on the right make necessary to hit the ball straight ahead. Thanks to the two large bunkers at the entry into the green, it is necessary to hit a high approach shot, but with precision, as there is an out-of-bounds area behind.
6th Hole
Description
This par 3 is one of the most difficult holes on the course due to its length and the lake to the right. The large bunker on the left will collect the balls from those who miscalculate in their haste to avoid the water.
7th Hole
Description
This is where the course really puts you to the test with an out-of-bounds area to the left and a natural water course to the right. It is necessary to hit the ball straight ahead and you will need two too long shots to reach the green which, that is well-defended by sand.
8th Hole
Description
A long ‘dog-leg' to the left with an out-of-bounds area covering the whole side and a watercourse to the right. After a few good shots to get this far, the green is well-defended by a bunker and a lake.
9th Hole
Description
The out-of-bounds area on the left and the two big sand traps in the center of the fairway make it necessary to hit a straight high ball in order to avoid the sand around the green.
10th Hole
Description
Under the shade of a huge palm tree, standing at the tee-off we can observe the entire right-hand side which is out-of-bounds at this hole, with a stream running through the middle of the fairway. This spot and an extensive area containing plants native to the area are clear examples of the importance given to respect for the environment when designing the course. Close to the green, there is another stream to the left and two bunkers for added incentive.
11th Hole
Description
It is necessary to hit the first ball over stream that runs along the fairway. To the right golfers will have to avoid an area of pitas that are highly-valued from an ecological point of view. Your reward will be entering the green where the sea acts an admiring back-drop.
12th Hole
Description
A beautiful tee-off over the course of a river and beside one of the other tie-bridges on the course. The green is protected by sand.
13th Hole
Description
A mild ‘dog-leg’ to the right with a bunker where the ball drops and another three defending the extensive green that show fantastic views.
14th Hole
Description
A slight dog-leg to the left with a out-of-bounds area to the right of the fairway and a natural watercourse on the left. With two bunkers in the center of the fairway, golfers should think carefully about their shot. The green is protected by sand traps for all those wishing to avoid the watercourse on the left.
15th Hole
Description
A straight hole where the watercourse to the left and the bunkers on one side and another where the ball drops make very difficult to play.
16th Hole
Description
A long straight route, where the gentle sloping land is just one more incentive to a game that is appropriate for long ball hitters, who will do well to avoid the right side as this is out-of-bounds.
17th Hole
Description
The shortest hole on the course has the added initiative of a watercourse to the left and two bunkers defending the green.
18th Hole
